Implementation of the Research Committee
A review and restructure of Eye and Ear research-related committees was undertaken in September/October 2019 and approved for implementation.
The purpose of the restructure is to bring research strategy, research management and research governance under a single Research Committee to ensure best practice, high quality and effective research management as expected by the community, researchers and the regulatory framework. The Research Committee will also manage research funding and review and implementation of the Eye and Ear Research Strategy next year.
As a result of the restructure meetings and communication with research partners will instead be more regular and focussed on specific outcomes.
