New application for research that is greater than low risk

The Eye and Ear HREC can review and approve the following projects involving greater than low risk:

  • Projects conducted by Eye and Ear staff at the Eye and Ear Hospital
  • Projects conducted by a research partner organisation at the Eye and Ear as a single site
  • Projects involving private sites that do not have their own HREC

If the project is multi-site at more than 1 public hospital, then the project must be submitted to a Reviewing HREC as per the instructions on the Streamlining review pathways website.
