Thank you to the Collier Charitable Fund $100M of support

June 27, 2019

In 2018 the Collier Charitable Fund who has provided wonderful support to the Eye and Ear over 32 years reached an incredible milestone. The distribution of their charitable grants exceeded $100 Million. The Collier sisters, Alice, Annette and Edith had set out the terms of the trust in their Wills many years ago and in their Wills  they made provision for Public Hospitals, public education, the advancement of religion and general charitable purposes where there is need.

The Collier Charitable Fund have been very generous to the Eye and Ear over the years supporting vital equipment such as the Ellex Eye Cubed’s B-scanner which is used for our ocular oncology patients, the MAIA, a new diagnostic microperimetry instrument, which assesses the function of the macula and for over 2 years Collier Charitable Fund supported our GP education and Emergency Physician Training courses.

The Eye and Ear which has been supporting the Victorian community for over 150 years congratulate the amazing work of the Fund over the last 65 years.
