Applications now open for Eye and Ear Junior Medical Staff positions 2014

The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is now accepting applications for our 2014 junior medical staff, open until 12 July 2013.

The Eye and Ear provides a state-wide primary, secondary, specialised tertiary and emergency eye and ear health care service. It is internationally recognised as a leader in clinical service delivery, teaching and research in both ophthalmology and otolaryngology.

The Eye and Ear has key partnerships with the Centre for Eye Research Australia and the University of Melbourne Department of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology (both located on site), Bionics Institute, Bionic Vision Australia and HEARing CRC.

University and hospital staff is involved in developing and assessing new forms of treatment and determining the value of new drugs and techniques developed overseas.

In conjunction with Melbourne's leading universities, the hospital is involved in teaching:

- Undergraduate medical students;

- Postgraduate ophthalmology, ear, nose & throat surgery and anaesthetics; and

- Emergency medicine
