A Very Big Thank You to Our Volunteers

On Wednesday 4th of December we hosted our annual volunteer lunch, with almost fifty people attending including concierge volunteers, auxiliary members and members of the consumer register joining us. This annual end of year lunch is just one way that we show our gratitude to those who give their time and support to our patients and staff throughout the year.

Dr David Szmulewicz spoke about the positive impact volunteers can have from a clinician’s perspective. It was also an appropriate day to honour our volunteers as it was held the day before International Volunteer Day.

At the event awards were presented to concierge volunteers who had provided over 100 hours of support, and CEO Ann Clark presented a special service award to Valerie Mobbs, from the Frankston Auxiliary who has been raising funds and supporting the Eye and Ear for an amazing 35 years.
