GP education and training

We have developed a range of education and training opportunities for GPs and other referrers to support you to manage your patients' eye and ENT conditions in the community and assist you to access hospital services. We provide some evening education sessions with specialist speakers throughout the year, as well as opportunities for GPs to arrange clinical attachments (observerships) or access online education. If you would like to receive information about our upcoming education and training opportunities, please send your email address to gpliaison@eyeandear.org.au, including 'GP education mailing list' in the subject headline.

Further clinical information and resources can be accessed here.

GP Clinical Observerships

NOTE: Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no observer placements available for the remainder of 2020.  Consideration will be given to local medical professionals in 2021.

We are pleased to inform you that we have limited capacity for GPs and GP registrars to observe and shadow our doctors in the Emergency Department for a period of half a day or up to 1 week from mid February to mid December each year. More information in the brochure below.
