  • How to get here:

    Patient drop off zones: Drop off parking is available on Morrison Place or Gisborne Street. These are currently subject to temporary closures due to redevelopment works. When dropping at Gisborne Street please be aware there is a short 100m walk to the entrance on the corner of Victoria Parade and Morrison Street, follow signs for emergency and entrance.

    Parking: Wilson Parking - 410 Albert Street (Wilsons parking is not coordinated by the hospital and patients need to check with Wilson's regarding fees and charges). On street parking is available please take note of clearway and tow zones.

    Train: Parliament Station.

    Tram: 11, 12, 30, 109.

    Depending on which direction and tram you are using alight at stop 11 or stop 12.

    Travellers Aid: Travellers Aid provides support, advice and assistance to the travelling public including people with special requirements or experiencing travel emergencies. To make a booking visit the Travellers Aid website.

Transport Services - Transport

Social Services can assist in coordinating patient transport for outpatient clinic appointments and discharges on medical grounds. The transport assistance program extends state wide to patients who meet the criteria. 

There are a number of non-emergency transport options available to patients. Criteria must be met to enable eligibility for transport. The office operates from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Social Services – Transport can be contacted on 03 9929 8234.

Accommodation

Information on accommodation options can be provided for country patients, relatives and carers. All accommodation venues are within a 5km radius of the Eye and Ear and operate independently. For a list of accommodation options, contact Social Services on 03 9929 8234.

  • How to get here:

    Parking: On-site parking is available to all patients of the Eye and Ear at $6 an hour. Entry to the car park is via Lansdowne Street. If travelling with a patient with low mobility, we recommend dropping them off at main reception prior to parking. The car park is beneath the hospital with lift access.
