Frequently asked questions

Do I have a choice in clinical rotations?

At the Eye and Ear, we believe that offering a variety of clinical settings assists our graduate nurses to consolidate and further develop knowledge and skills in their nursing practice. To assist this process, we place our graduates in the wards, operating theatre or day surgery facility, the emergency department and specialist clinics.

Will I be able to continue nursing at the Eye and Ear, following completion of the Graduate Year?

At the conclusion of the Graduate Year Program there may be the opportunity for continued employment and career development at the Eye and Ear, dependent on nursing vacancies at the time.

Do I have to be part of Computer Match to apply for the Graduate Program at the Eye and Ear?

The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital cannot accept applications either from outside the PMCV allocation and placement service or applications from International students.
