Our Disability Liaison Officer assists people with disability, their families, and carers to access services at the Eye and Ear and our other health services.

Currently, this role has a strong focus on making sure that you can access the COVID-19 vaccine.

Disability Liaison Officer services:

  • Supports people with disability to access COVID-19 assessment and treatment
  • Supports people with disability to access the health and community services they require
  • Provides disability-specific advice and support to the hospital
  • Provides support to patients with disability to access treatment within the Eye and Ear
  • Identifies and reduces barriers to health service accessibility for people with disability

Need a COVID-19 test?

If you have COVID-19 symptoms and cannot leave home due to disability, or the need to care for others, then you can get tested at home. To access the Call-to-Test service, call the Victorian COVID-19 hotline on 1800 675 398 and select option 9. Find more information about the Call to Test service in Easy English.
