Referral letter should be posted to the appropriate service with the
following details:
- Patient name
- Address
- Telephone number plus daytime contact number
- Date of birth
- Medicare number and patient position number on card
- Veteran Affairs number if appropriate
- Preferred language spoken and interpreter booking if required.

Accident and Emergency Service:
At East Melbourne only
Emergency services are available 7days per week, 24 hours per day for Eye, Ear,
Nose and Throat conditions.
Waiting time varies between patients. Priority is given in order of medical
need. Emergencies take priority. Please note that staff are unable to give
accurate estimate of waiting time.
There are two separate waiting queues for patients - one for the Eye doctor
and one for the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor.
