Digital Reference of Ophthalmology is produced by the Edward S Harkness Eye Institute, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Colombia University, New York Presbyterian Public Hospital. eyetext Image database (images only)
Eyetext is a database of searchable images (non-commercial use only). This web site is run by an ophthalmologist and is aimed at eye care professionals only. Requires registration.

EyeTube (videos)
Eye Tube is a free web site containing ophthalmic videos which are uploaded by members of the site. Registration (free) is required. Content is monitored by the EyeTube by a board of medical editors and they advise on appropriateness of content.

Gonioscopy.org (videos only)
This web site is an educational resource on gonioscopy containing only videos. The main author is Wallace L.M. Alward, MD and the web site is supported by the University of Iowa. It covers the basic examination techniques and more advanced techniques, such as indentation and the corneal wedge. There are video examples of most glaucoma-related diseases.

Handbook of ocular disease management is available from Review of Optometry Online. This web site is divided into 7 sections and includes images.

Retinal Implant Project
Boston Retinal Implant Project web site is a collaboration between the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/ Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  It was established in the late 1980s and in 2001, the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) became an integral member of this research consortium.(Description provided by the web site).
