Volunteering at the Eye and Ear Hospital
Volunteers play a fundamental part in the success
of the Eye & Ear Hospital. Known as Friends of the Eye & Ear Hospital,
our volunteers help to make patients more comfortable, assist staff, and raise
money to fund new medical equipment and better facilities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Many of our volunteer
opportunities involve enhancing patient care and providing assistance to
Hospital clinics and departments.
There is a range of volunteer positions available within the Hospital including:

Becoming a Volunteer
In order to help ensure a successful relationship
between the hospital and volunteer, all prospective volunteers are required to
attend an interview. The Hospital is also governed under the Health Services
Act 1988 so you will be required to complete a Police Check.
We provide orientation and training to all volunteers and have a recognition
program for service. Volunteers are valued members of the Eye & Ear Hospital.
