Combined Eye/ENT HMO and Emergency Registrar Position(s) 2010

 
 
Positions are available for medical practitioners with an interest in clinical Ophthalmology and/or ENT. Applications are invited from the following doctors:
  • Emergency Registrars (Accredited) 6 or 12 month, part and/or full-time position(s).
  • Hospital Medical Officer Eye/ENT 12 month part and/or full-time position(s). Must be HMO Year 3 or above as at 2010.
These positions provide opportunities to develop experience and expertise in the assessment and treatment of Ophthalmology and ENT conditions including the examination and management of common and emergency presentations. The majority of shifts would be in the Emergency Department. Some night duty and weekend work is required.

The successful applicant(s) will have access to senior clinicians in both fields and will have access to the postgraduate training programs. Research opportunites exist at the hospital and rosters may allow non-rostered time for research projects.

The successful applicant would usually be a Medical Practitioner eligible for registration in Victoria with at least 2 years current postgraduate experience (must be Year 3 as at 2010). Terms and Conditions for the positions are in accordance with the Victorian Public Hospitals Multi Employer Certified Agreement 2002. The roles will commence as soon as practicable after the closing date.
