Date: Thursday, 4 December 2008

Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital 2008 Annual General Meeting

Look. Listen. Learn – A year at the Eye and Ear.
Take a look at an exciting year at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital including advances in ground breaking treatments for restoring sight and hearing.

The AGM will also include a special presentation from Dr Bryony Coleman – Victoria Fellow and Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital Wagstaff Fellow.

In her presentation “From Hobart to Harvard: A research journey into the future of hearing health to restore the deaf cochlea”, Dr Coleman will explore groundbreaking research into replacing natural function of the inner ear through regenerative strategies.

This world first research could be used to improve the quality of hearing in people with cochlear implants – and may one day, even help restore hearing to those who are deaf.
